Who I Work With

For highly sensitive adults who learned to carry more than their share.

You may be self-aware, capable, and deeply attuned to others while feeling unsettled, exhausted, or disconnected from what you want.

The person I work best with

Emotionally curious. Thoughtful. Ready to understand more deeply.

My ideal client is a self-aware, emotionally curious adult navigating a life who wants to understand themselves more deeply, break old patterns, and live with greater authenticity, presence, and connection.

Many grew up deeply attuned, often carrying the emotional weight of their families, adapting quickly, and becoming wise far too early. You may notice a change in the room before anyone names it. You may have learned to anticipate, accommodate, and hold what other people could not.

These ways of being can carry intelligence and sensitivity. They can also leave you uncertain where other people end and you begin. Being the person who understands everyone else can make it difficult to hear your own limits, preferences, anger, grief, or desire.

This work suits people drawn to depth, compassionate curiosity, and a collaborative process rather than a quick fix or a rigid formula. You do not need a perfect explanation before reaching out.

What may be happening

  • Feeling stuck in relationship, boundary, or people-pleasing patterns
  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection from yourself
  • Functioning well outwardly while feeling internally unsettled
  • Emotional exhaustion and nervous system overwhelm
  • Difficulty resting without guilt
  • High-functioning coping that hides emotional pain
  • Career changes, midlife, grief, or relationships changing
  • Kids growing up and a shifting sense of identity
  • Wondering, “Who am I now, and how do I want to live?”

Is this a fit?

Start where you actually are.

What brings you here?

Choose whichever is closest. Nothing is scored, saved, or diagnosed , you'll simply get an honest answer and a sensible next step.

Old patterns

What once helped you adapt may no longer serve you.

Feeling stuck in old patterns can show up most clearly in relationships, boundaries, people-pleasing, or ways of coping that no longer serve you. You may understand the pattern intellectually and still feel pulled into it when closeness, conflict, or uncertainty activates something older.

CPTSD can be part of the language Lisa uses when thinking about relational trauma and the long-term effects of adapting to emotionally complicated environments. The work remains centered on your lived experience rather than reducing you to a label.

Therapy can help you understand what a pattern protected, what it costs now, and what becomes possible when you meet it with enough safety and compassion to choose differently.

A lens, not an assessment

Human Design may offer language for reflection.

Sunlight streaming through a misty Georgia forest

Lisa writes openly about Human Design, including Projectors and 6-line profiles, as one reflective language that may resonate with how some people understand energy, sensitivity, relationship, and their way of moving through the world.

Human Design is not a clinical assessment, diagnosis, or evidence-based mental health treatment. It does not replace psychotherapy or determine what is true about you. When it is meaningful to a client, it can be held as a personal-growth framework alongside curiosity about lived experience.

You never need to share an interest in Human Design to work with Lisa. Her clinical work also draws from established psychotherapy approaches and is responsive to the person in front of her.

Adults in Georgia

A practice for many identities and later chapters of life.

Lisa works with adults, including LGBTQ+ and BIPOC clients, in the age ranges of 30–49, 50–64, and 65+. Services are offered in English.

All psychotherapy sessions are 100% telehealth and available to clients located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee. Lisa is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, with Counseling Compact privileges to practice in Ohio and Tennessee, for clients located in those states.

The hope is not to make you into someone new. It is to help you move from feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected toward feeling more grounded, self-aware, and free to live and relate from your authentic self.
