Fee Availability

Limited sliding scale options are available for 55-minute telehealth sessions.

Present Life Counseling is a self-pay practice. Limited sliding scale options are available, and the free initial consultation gives you space to discuss practical questions before deciding whether to begin.

The cancellation policy is 48 business hours. Please consider that window when choosing a regular appointment time.

Fees, Plainly

No application or income documentation is required.

  1. Fee AvailabilityLimited sliding scale options are available for 55-minute sessions.
  2. $200The standard fee.

Every fee option covers the same 55-minute telehealth session. There is no application, no income documentation, and no different tier of care.

Because the practice is self-pay, no insurance company reviews your sessions or requires a diagnosis for payment. If you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement, Lisa can give you a superbill to submit yourself.

Insurance

Out-of-network superbills are available.

Present Life Counseling does not accept insurance. Lisa can provide a superbill for out-of-network benefits. A superbill documents the services you received and the amount you paid; you may submit it to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Benefits vary by plan, and a superbill does not guarantee reimbursement. Before beginning, you can ask your insurer whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, whether a deductible applies, and what documentation is required.

Your insurance company determines coverage and reimbursement. You remain responsible for the session fee.

Questions people carry

Cost, timing, and readiness are real parts of the decision.

A still lake reflecting trees in soft morning light

Cost or uncertainty about insurance coverage may shape whether self-pay therapy is workable. The published fee, limited sliding scale options, and superbill option are here so you can consider that honestly.

You may also wonder whether therapy is “necessary” right now. You do not have to wait for a crisis, and you do not have to convince yourself that therapy is the only possible choice. The free consultation is a place to ask questions and consider fit.

Deeper work asks for time and emotional energy. Hesitation about that commitment does not need to be talked away. It can be part of a straightforward conversation about what you want, what you can sustain, and whether now feels like the right time.

Frequency and location

100% telehealth in Georgia, Ohio and Tennessee.

Lisa provides psychotherapy to clients located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, with Counseling Compact privileges to practice in Ohio and Tennessee, for clients located in those states.

Most clients begin weekly or biweekly. Frequency can adjust as the work develops, and many clients move to monthly or as-needed sessions once the relationship is established.

There is no office location and no in-person option. You will need a private place where you can speak freely, a reliable internet connection, and a suitable device.

The first conversation

The initial consultation is free.

The Connection Call is a free 15-minute conversation to briefly connect, explore what kind of support you're looking for, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

It is not a therapy session, and you do not need to tell your whole story. You can ask about Lisa's approach, telehealth, fees, superbills, scheduling, the cancellation policy, or what beginning might look like.
