Who I Work With

Therapy for Women in Midlife

For years you may have been the one who held it all together. Midlife often brings a quiet, insistent question: what about me?

Who I Work With

What Often Shifts

Many women in midlife are carrying a great deal at once: children growing up or leaving home, aging parents, changing relationships, careers that look different than they once did, and bodies that are changing too. Roles that defined you for decades may be loosening.

That can be disorienting, and it can also be an opening. Midlife is one of the richest chapters of adult development, when many women begin to ask what they actually want rather than what they were taught to want.

From Holding It Together to Knowing Yourself

People-pleasing, over-functioning, and emotional over-responsibility often show up strongly for women who were raised to be the steady one. In our work we look at those patterns with compassion and curiosity, and make room for your own preferences, limits, anger, grief, and desire.

I know something about nonlinear lives. Mine has included running businesses, raising two children, a divorce, and coming to this profession later than many. I bring that lived understanding to the room.
