Who I Work With
Therapy for LGBTQ+ Adults
You should not have to translate yourself or defend who you are in the one hour a week that is meant to be yours.
Who I Work With
An Affirming Starting Point
I work with LGBTQ+ adults, and I begin from the view that your identity is not a problem to be explained or treated. Humanistic psychology, the tradition I trained in, sees each person as a unique individual with the right to their own truth and their own path.
What brings you to therapy may have nothing to do with your identity. It may be anxiety, a relationship, a transition, or an old pattern. It may also include the weight of family expectations, rejection, or the ongoing work of living authentically in places that are not always welcoming.
How I Hold Your Experience
I will not assume I understand your experience. I will ask, listen carefully, and follow your lead about what matters. You decide what we focus on and how much you share.
Many LGBTQ+ adults learned early to read a room and adjust themselves to stay safe. Those adaptations make sense. Therapy can be a place to notice where they still serve you and where you are ready to take up more space.
Working Together
Therapy is held online, so you can meet from a private place in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee where you feel at ease. Sessions are 55 minutes, and you can start with a free 15-minute Connection Call to see how it feels to talk with me.
