What I Help With
Therapy for Relationship Difficulties
You may understand exactly what keeps happening in your relationships and still feel pulled into it every time. That is not a failure of insight. It is a pattern asking to be understood.
What I Help With
The Patterns That Keep Repeating
The people I see often describe the same threads: people-pleasing, difficulty with boundaries, taking responsibility for everyone else's feelings, or losing track of where other people end and they begin. Closeness can feel like work. Conflict can feel dangerous.
Many of these patterns once protected connection. Being the understanding one kept the peace. Anticipating needs kept you safe. Seeing the intelligence in these responses does not mean you have to keep living inside them.
Families, Roles, and Where Patterns Begin
Families fascinate me. They are the herd of our species, and we are hard-wired to belong to them whether we want to or not. My undergraduate study in Child and Family Development and my training in Bowen Family Systems both shape how I think about the roles we learn early and carry into adult relationships.
In therapy we look at those roles with curiosity rather than blame, and notice how they show up now, with partners, friends, adult children, and colleagues.
Individual Therapy, Relational Focus
I work with individuals, so this is your space to understand your side of the pattern and practice a more honest way of relating. The work is collaborative and unhurried.
Therapy is held online for adults located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee. A free 15-minute Connection Call is a gentle first step.
