Therapy for Life Transitions
Relationships changing, kids growing up, career changes, midlife, grief, or a quiet sense of "Who am I now, and how do I want to live?" This is the work I love most.
My Primary Specialty
Why Transitions Are My Focus
My own path has been anything but linear. Between 2003 and 2015 I owned a coffee shop, got married, co-owned a yoga studio, opened a restaurant and bar, had two children, got divorced, and worked in-home with families in the foster care system, all before taking the National Counselor Exam more than ten years after my master's degree.
So I love helping people through nonlinear lives, and helping them out of the linear thinking that says life should follow a tidy sequence. Change is rarely tidy. It is something we live our way into.
What a Transition Can Stir Up
Even a chosen change can bring grief, anxiety, and old patterns to the surface. An identity you built around a role, a marriage, a career, or raising children may no longer fit, and the next one has not formed yet. That in-between place can feel disorienting.
In our work we slow down enough to hear what you actually want, rather than what you have been conditioned to want. We look at the patterns that keep pulling you back, and the values that are asking to lead.
A Growth Model, Not a Medical One
I see transitions as part of adult development, not a disorder. The hope is to move from feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected toward feeling more grounded, self-aware, and free to live from your authentic self.
Therapy is held online for adults located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee. You can begin with a free 15-minute Connection Call.
