Questions
Is Therapy Worth It If I Am Basically Functioning?
You get up, go to work, take care of people, and keep things running. Nothing is falling apart. So it can feel strange, even indulgent, to consider therapy. It is not.
Questions
Functioning Is Not the Same as Well
Many of the people I work with function well on the outside and feel internally unsettled, exhausted, or unsure what they actually want. High-functioning coping can hide a lot of pain. In fact, being the capable one is often part of why nobody notices, including you.
Uncertainty about whether therapy is necessary right now is one of the most common reasons people wait. Some wait until something breaks. You do not have to.
What Therapy Can Offer When Nothing Is Wrong
Therapy is not only for crisis. It can be a place to understand yourself more deeply, look at patterns that keep repeating, and make choices about how you want to live before life makes them for you. I think of it as part of adult development, not repair.
It can also be one of the only hours in your week where you do not have to hold the room together.
Deciding If Now Is the Time
It is reasonable to weigh the cost, the time, and the emotional energy that deeper work asks of you. A free 15-minute Connection Call is a way to explore that without committing to anything. We can talk about what you are hoping for and whether working together makes sense.
Therapy is online for adults located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee, in 55-minute sessions.
