Questions

Present Life Sessions and How They Differ From Therapy

I offer two different things, and I want the line between them to be clear. Therapy is for people located in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee. Present Life Sessions are for people elsewhere, and they are not therapy.

Questions

Therapy

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, with Counseling Compact privileges to practice in Ohio and Tennessee. Therapy with me is held online for adults who are physically located in one of those three states during our sessions. It is clinical care: we can work with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and other concerns, and I hold the responsibilities that come with a therapeutic relationship.

Therapy sessions are 55 minutes and $200. Limited sliding scale options are available.

Present Life Sessions

Present Life Sessions are reflective, one-to-one conversations for people who live outside the states where I am licensed to provide psychotherapy but are drawn to the way I work. They are flexible and booked as needed, with no package and no promised outcome.

Present Life Sessions are not therapy and are not a substitute for therapy or mental health treatment. They do not include diagnosis or treatment of any condition.

Which One Is Right for You?

If you live in Georgia, Ohio or Tennessee and want support with your mental health, therapy is the right path. If you live elsewhere and are looking for mental health treatment, please look for a therapist licensed where you live. If you live elsewhere and want space to reflect with someone about your life, a Present Life Session may be a fit.

If you are in crisis, neither is an emergency service. Call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
